Below, a loop or ring, is spliced in place:
Each tail is fed through the other. After cutting and tapering the ends
The section where each tail enters is worked up into the loop in the
webbing of the tether. A simple stitch through both the webbing and the loop
will lock everything in place.
Below is a quick example of a kevlar loop:
Loop is siezed in area where both tails are inside outer ring.
A section of dark blue surgical tubing is used instead of a toggle stop for chocking down loop.
The kevlar can withstand heat well above any level generated by the flashlight; even with a
high output lamp assembly (HOLA).
Split ring from web coil tether is removed and tether is installed on kevlar lanyard loop.
