7-26-21 Large Tako cruising on the reef.

This tako's first left leg is new and regenerating. It is quite short still.

The saddle wrasses are adults so you can gauge the size of this octopus.

The Octopus ended up slipping into a hole in the reef and pulling out some broken pieces of reef and blockading the entrance to the hole in front of it.

The Next day, I checked the spot and darned if the octopus hadn't cleared the blockage and was tucked in the hole, looking out:

I swam off for a while and decided to check in again and it had placed a partial barrier up (it probably knew I would be back!):

A friend provided one reef piece (red arrow below) that fit quite well blocking off most of the entrance.

On 7-31-21 I returned and found the cave entrance well blocked and placed a camera above it. In the video you can see that although I had not tampered

with the barrier the tako was aware of the camera and/or me and attempting to futher block out any passage or view into the cave. Once I removed two

pieces better exposing the cave you can see the tako sizing up the gap and sorting how best to fill it with a piece of coral it still had in the cave.

8-1-21 tako is still in her cave but moved the large rock aside so she could keep her eye on what was going on outside:

She was hanging out at the entrance of her cave.

She has blocked up her cave and apparently not leaving it anymore. 8-10-21:

I have been checking daily and her cave is even more blocked but she is still there. If I move a rock or two she will show some white of her tentacle as well as blast me with some water. 8-31-21:
