A couple days later and little Ricky looked to have given birth due to his deflated pouch. In the series below,

I saw and photographed little Ricky swim over and join Little Lucy on the same hold fast. They proceeded to

twist around each other and the halimeda in a pole dance of sorts...

After twisting around for a while, they slipped up to the top of the halimeda and then let go and continued up

into the water column where they joined in mating.

After a short tryst, they dropped back down to the seabed and broke apart. In the image above and close up crop

below, you can see some translucent membrane coming from Lucy that is presumably related to the egg transfer.

The two seahorse pairs have weathered a number of swells already and the sand has shifted in as well as out.

It would appear that they are going to ride out the winter here and I look forward to many future visits with

them.
