A pair of brown anoles in the back yard had a turf dispute:

Unlike the green anoles, they seem to posture with more pronunced dorsal ridge and sticking out their tongues.

The fight didn't last too long and no apparent damage was inflicted.

Next day, both were seen out in the back yard and still posturing at each other from a distance. Neither looked injured

aside from what appeared to be a wound above the left eye of the smaller lizard.

Above and below, the two are aware of each others presense and posturing.

Later in the afternoon, the smaller one had retained claim to the warm sidewalk.
